Aww nothing like Cassie coming in the door excited over a new book they started reading in school Junie B Cheater Pants. She also checked out a new 'Bisket' book and was so proud that she could read it all 'so easy Mom'!!! Excited to tell me all the details of the stories her eyes just glowed. I'd love to take her up to the Library and pick out a cute story book we can read over the next week or two together like those.

Zac had a theme of the 'Fair' all weekend and made the cuties lil silly clown hat today. He has a lil homework this year writing and speech exercises. He's been into bug hunting outside all week, catching giant grasshoppers and crickets with an occassional spider here and there... :p

Josh wants to go to the high school Football game tonight against their biggest rival. He called me from his Friday football game they have in automotive class, he's taking Honor's Math, and English and Drafting and Automotive 1 this semester and doing well with his schoolwork.

Snowy Fall FuN
Josh with his 1st pheasant he shoot

This is Josh's 1st year hunting I have a ton of pictures of him with his 2 deer, geese, doves and ducks but this is the 1st offical pheasant he has hunted... and so very proud as it's his 1st and our state bird of course. Him and Cliff have been out together as much as time allows this fall and all other pictures are online in my online photo album. Josh Also got all A's and B's on his report card the 1st 9 weeks and made it on the honor roll, he was very proud of that and his teachers all had great reviews on him as well. I'm very proud of him! WTG!!!

Zac playing in the 1st snowfall of the yearWe had our 1st real snow a total of 6 inches last monday and the little kids and I got out to play that morning at 10 during the heaviest snow. Little Zac was so cute trying to catch it and eating it and Cassie just tromped around in it and laying in it, rolling in it.. how wonderful to watch them and little kids get so excited over snow. If I'd have had snow pants and a hat and mittens I too would have loved to have just jumped in the snow with them and rolled around as well... next time.

Festival of Leaves
Zac in a pile of Leaves, Oct 17th

We had Fall Funday at our house today it was beautiful and perfect day to pick up the yard and put stuff away for the winter. We raked and the children went crazy with the leaves. Jumping in the leaves, throwing them, rolling around, messing them up and re-raking. Zac did stop just enough for me to snap the cutest picture of him just laying in the leaves all relaxed. He's always going and such a busy body getting into just about anything his little hands and eyes see and find to get into.

I love this picture of Cassie cuz I took a ton of pictures and about 20 of them were of her just Cassie throwing leaves jumping and throwing and all the energy she spent on doing this and the laughter I'd love to hear and remember forever. She is a good helper too, and of course everything she does her little brother wants to do. So we got out the little rakes and they'd rake up piles of leaves all the time, almost everytime they go outside they are playing with the leaves and the little toys we left out for them to play with in the sandbox. The sandbox has been the biggest and best thing the little ones have had this year, always scooping and digging and playing with their shovels and trucks and I bet 90% of their outside playtime is spent in the sandbox.

Zachary was out diggin in the garden and came running he found this little furry caterpillar. Dad dug back out his little red bucket and I found some milkweed and he carried around this little bug for a good hour. Taking him out and holding them and trying to feed him, Zac has a lot of patience of animals and loves to watch the animal planet with Dad in the evenings. Cassandra on the other hand hates bugs and isn't as lovey with the little critters but has gotten pretty chummy recently with our pup Belle.

1st Day 6th Grade N Babies!
Josh's 6th grade picture
Today is Josh's 1st day of 6th grade and a middle schooler at that. Does he feel different nope he says, just bummed that the 6th graders got moved back down to the elementary school this year, as next year the 7th and 8th grades will be moved up to the high school and our current middle school will be closed. I told him, think of it this way, at least this year you will be the 'oldest' again of the elementary school. He seemed pretty excited otherwise to start school and see all his friends once again, plus he had an extra busy summer spending the 1st 1/2 in Nashville with my parents.

Cassie and her BabyCassandra is in love with her babies, and her little dollys. She's always trying to dress them and changing diapers and rocking them. She makes little beds for her babys and feeds them and hauls them just about anywhere we let her take them. The kids are usually the focus of all my photo taking, but this day she came to me asking that I take some pictures of her babies for her and I printed 2 out so she could keep and have them.. it was pretty cute. I'm posting the pictures I took of her and her baby not just the ones of her baby as she wanted. Just cuz she's so cute with her dollys. Ask her her baby's names and they're all just 'baby'. :)

BUSY

Josh 4th of July 2003Wow how time has flown this summer already. Josh is back home he spent the 1st 1/2 of his summer in Nashville with my parents leaving May 23rd and getting back July 3rd. He had a lot of fun making new friends and seeing all the big city sights. Jammin in the country capital of the world with my parents and brother. He's happy to be home and to see how much his little brother and sister have grown and what new and exciting things they have learned in the short time he was away.
Zac July 4th 2003
But for now here are a few from the 4th of July. I got off work in time to get home to spend the evening with my family and watch the fireworks. The littles ones were out with their PJ's on and Zac got some new boots from my parents for this coming winter my dad brought up but ever since he seen them the day b4 he has had them on. He loves them.. Fun. 1st time with sparklers:)
The fireworks show started about 1030 and lasted a good 35 minutes and the kids were in awe watching them with all their colors. The year before Cassie was scared of the loud noises and didn't like the fireworks at all and was crying and pluggin her ears for the show so I was surprised at how much Zac was loving them. Cassie July 4th, 2003A major difference between the two in that area. He was running around dancing and smiling and ohhhing and aweeeing with the rest of us. :) Josh and Phaedra were having a blast shooting off some of their smaller ones they bought that day at the fireworks stand.

Happy 2nd Birthday Zac

Zac's 2nd Bday CakeZachary turned 2 on June 5th, 2003! He sure has grown and suddenly losing most his babylooks and with his haircuts takes on a whole new look. I have a hard time cutting those curls out but from time to time break down and do it. He and Dad went up to the Bakery and picked out his birthday cake together this year. Dad wanted to be part of that and they came back with a monster truck cake he just giggled over and veroooommm making the truck noises all day.

He received lots of nice gifts and toys and clothes from grandma's and grandpa's and sisters and his brother. Elmo Zac got for his 2nd Bday His eyes lite up when we lite the birthday candles and had so much fun blowing them out we relit them a 1/2 dozen times. We got him a talking Elmo that teaches a different subject everyday he just loves elmo as big sister has an Elmo they were always fighting over. And some really cute outfits and several other fun toys and 3 books to read. Zac just loves to read sitting on my lap he listens very well but mostly just loves to sit and cuddle and point out things in the pictures in the books.

My Favorite is a book that has a bunny asking his Daddy what spring means.. and in every detailed page and pictures is a little tiny any somewhere in the picture. Zac will find the ant and point it out and get excited and as I point out other items and things in the pictures it always comes back to that little ant. :) My favorite book with him right now. Cassandra still loves to be read to as well but she's into the stories now and a lot of the time she wants to read the books back to me and makes up her own versions of stories which I actually find 100 times more interesting than the real book. So cute to hear her words and thoughts on the pictures.
